3units is the representative of Oman Drydock Company in the areas of Italy, Switzerland, Malta, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Argentina for the development of maritime, logistic and port activities in the Duqm area in Oman, an important part of the project is also the technological development of the complex. With ODC we collaborate in the field of plant and shipbuilding engineering, mainly in the Persian Gulf area.

Established in September 2006, Oman Drydock Company (ODC) is wholly owned by an Oman government holding company, ASYAD. ODC is a prime example of economic diversification for the country. ODC has a diverse business portfolio, which covers broad streams such as Ship repair and Conversion, Industrial Fabrication, Downstream Steel Fabrication, Naval Engineering, Offshore Engineering and Shipbuilding. Operating graving docks, which are among the largest in The Middle East, ODC holds a geographical advantage of being at the Indian Ocean and in the proximity of the busiest shipping routes in the world.
The company has recently signed a joint venture agreement with Babcock International Group (UK) to establish a subsidiary, Duqm Naval Dockyard (DND), to provide the engineering solutions to international navies. DND is fully capable to perform complex scale jobs covering all the categories of Naval Ships.
ODC has establishment partnerships for technical and engineering support with a number of renowned international companies including Babcock Group (UK), ST Marine (Singapore), and Global Offshore and Marine (GOM) (Singapore), the extensive cooperation with these companies enables ODC to manage large projects in an efficient and timely manner.
Where is it and what are the characteristics
Oman Drydock is located in Duqm within the Al Wusta region of Oman which is 500 km south east of Muscat. There are two (2) graving docks, (410m x 95m and 410m x 80m) and 2,800m of available quay side. Using chart datum of 10m the mean average water depth range is between 10.9m and 12.53m. ODC has a modern facility which delivers Naval engineering support over a secure 1.2 million m2 site.
The site contains extensive fabrication, manufacturing, and engineering workshops, a clean room, blasting and painting facilities, warehousing and logistic infrastructure, waste disposal, emergency services, recycling areas and modern canteens.
