Stress Analysis for the Ostiglia combined cycle Power Plant
Stress verification on 25 piping lines with CAESAR II for a 1,164 MW gas-fired power plant.
3Units provided engineering services for the Ostiglia combined cycle power plant, located on the left bank of the Po River in the province of Mantua, Italy. The facility covers an area of 51 hectares, has an installed capacity of 1,164 MW, and operates exclusively on natural gas.
As part of the project, 3Units performed piping stress analysis using CAESAR II® software (version 14). The service included three analysis groups, for a total of 25 lines: steam, gas, and drain lines.
This activity ensured the structural verification of piping systems under both design and operational conditions, helping to enhance the safety and performance of the plant.
