DESIGN
3D Modelling and Plant Engineering
Three-dimensional (3D) modelling involves defining objects in a virtual three-dimensional space generated by computer software. 3D models, created using specialized tools, enable innovative design solutions for industrial plants.
3Units specialises in 3D design for piping, equipment, and structures. Using industry-leading software such as BricsCAD®, Smart® 3D, CADWorx® Plant, ESApro, and others, we produce detailed construction drawings. We support our clients throughout all project phases — from layout feasibility studies to the drafting of workshop drawings for isometrics, pipe supports, and auxiliary steelwork.
STRUCTURES
Mechanical and structural design
Mechanical and structural design heavily relies on 3D engineering. Our expertise includes the mechanical design of machinery for the steel industry, featuring hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as loading and unloading equipment for rolling mills, conveyor belts, and furnaces.
For structural and civil engineering projects, we offer design services for buildings, support structures, galvanizing lines, and geotechnical works, using world-class software such as Tekla, Revit, and CADWorx® Structural.
SAFETY
Pipe class and fire protection system design
3Units prepares pipe classes for the most widely used 3D CAD design systems, in compliance with ASME, EN, GOST, and JIS standards. Pipe classes can be provided for CADMATIC Materials™ (formerly Puma5), a piping materials management system, or in .xls format for manual use or integration with other systems.
We also offer fire protection system design services, including deluge systems, sprinkler systems, and inert gas systems, using specialised software such as Sunrise Pipenet and in compliance with NFPA standards.

AUTOMATION
Electro-instrumental design and plant automation
Our electrical engineering department manages all design activities related to panel schematics, plant electrical panels, and the 3D modelling of electrical systems. We also offer low and medium voltage network calculations in accordance with CEI and international standards, using software such as Electrographics Ampere Professional.
In the electro-instrumental field, we develop plant design projects, electrical schematics, interconnection diagrams, floor plans, logic diagrams, primary and secondary hook-up diagrams, cable lists, and technical documentation for both workshops and construction sites.
CONTROL
Technical project supervision and project control
We also provide project management and project control services, using software such as Oracle Primavera, Hexagon EcoSys, and Microsoft Project.
